i've written this letter before to myself
sent by a messenger to 1997
some things are better for sure, but for your health
before you open it you may want to sit down

there are things herein that will upset you
there are things that may surprise you
there are things in here you might find unbelievable
but in general, i think you would approve

don't worry about finding love, because you do
but you will lose it too, and that part is a doozy
but you'll be better for it, gotta push through
