about

Tiger Saw's, second album, Gimme Danger / Gimme Sweetness, sees the band, fronted by singer/songwriter Dylan Metrano, going in unexpected directions. From the opening heartbeat nursery rhyme "R U Courageous?" to the rhythmic attack of "Love Will Kill," this is an authentic album of seduction, friendship, and remembrance. Equally informed by contemporary literature and the Newburyport, MA band's ever-increasing community of collaborators and friends, this is the sound of a group that has found its voice - a voice passionate, distinct, and evocative.
In the spring of 2003, Tiger Saw toured with Jason Anderson / Wolf Colonel (K Records), and they played as Anderson's band. On Gimme Danger / Gimme Sweetness, Tiger Saw covers the Wolf Colonel classic "The Goodbye," and Jason lends his voice, guitar, bass, and piano to several songs on the record. Other guests include Marc Gartman (Pale Horse and Rider / Low collaborator) on lap steel, Jim Reynolds (Milkweed) on banjo, and Colin Rhinesmith (Skating Club) on organ and bass
